Measure of Academic Progress (MAP) Test

Gifted Minds International School, Opaallaan 1190-1196 Hoofddorp 2132 LN, Netherlands

Measure of Academic Progress (MAP) Test Result

We are delighted to announce that students at GMIS have consistently outperformed the United States norm, achieving rankings at or above many schools globally in the Measure of Academic Progress (MAP) test.

Since 2020, our students from preschool to Grade 6 have participated in the NWEA’s MAP test twice a year, covering areas such as Mathematics, Reading Comprehension, Fluency, Science, and Language usage.

GMIS leverages the valuable data obtained from the MAP test in the following ways:

1. Providing teachers with insights into each student’s instructional needs.
2. Identifying students who may require additional support.
3. Monitoring growth over time to enhance our curriculum continually.
4. Offering an external benchmark for evaluating student performance against schools worldwide.

The MAP test’s adaptive nature tailors assessments to each student’s academic level, enabling GMIS teachers and administration to ensure that each student receives a personalized education aligned with their academic needs.

Aligned with our commitment to excellence, GMIS follows the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 6. The PYP, a curricular framework rooted in the latest best-practice educational research globally, underscores our status as an IBPYP World School. This designation signifies our ongoing dedication to providing a rigorous academic program that consistently meets the highest standards in teaching and learning.
